2019 Ford Ranger North American Release Date
If you have been hiding under a rock, the Ford Ranger and the Ford Bronco are coming back! With plans to be manufactured in Michigan, the new Ranger is expected to challenge the like of the new Honda Ridgeline and perennial favorite, Toyota Tacoma. The 2019 Ford Ranger is expected to be released sometime in 2019.
Why is the Ford Ranger coming back?
The Ford Ranger is coming back because of growing demand for midsize trucks. The release of the Honda Ridgeline, and success of the Chevy Colorado and redesigned Toyota Tacoma, have opened the door for more midsize trucks. We can expected the Ford Ranger to have some pretty interesting engine choice when it’s released in 2019.
2019 Ford Ranger engine choices
We won’t know what the Ford Ranger will feature under the hood for quite some time. With plans to put a hybrid engine in the F-150, we can expect the midsize Ranger to feature some of the EcoBoost engines and a future hybrid powertrain. We won’t know for sure until a few months before the release date, but it’s fun to speculate!
“We’ve heard our customers loud and clear. They want a new generation of vehicles that are incredibly capable yet fun to drive…Ranger is for truck buyers who want an affordable, functional, rugged and maneuverable pickup that’s Built Ford Tough.
Truck buyers in Canada might not know that despite the Ranger’s absence in the North American Ford lineup, it has been produced in other parts of the world the past few years. We’re sure to hear a lot more rumors about the new Ranger in the coming weeks and months.
