Drivers have been anticipating the arrival of the all-new 2018 Ford Expedition since it was revealed earlier this year. It’s expected to arrive this Fall 2017, so we only have a few more months to wait. This new model sure will have a lot to offer with upgraded performance and connectivity features including a class-exclusive Pro Trailer Backup Assist system.
The Pro Trailer Backup Assist system takes the frustrations out of launching a boat or backing up into a tight space with a trailer. The driver simply rotates a knob in order to tell the system how much to turn the trailer, and the technology will take over in steering the vehicle as well as adjusting to the necessary speed. Overall, it reduces time and helps drivers feel more confident with an otherwise rather difficult task.
Technology Upgrades to the 2018 Ford Expedition
In addition to the system mentioned above, there are tons of other technology features added to the 2018 Expedition to make it one of the most connected SUVs available on the market. One of the most exciting additions is the wireless charging station. The Expedition is Ford’s first vehicle to feature this type of technology. Located in the front center console, compatible mobile devices can be placed on an integrated charging pad to effortlessly add battery life.

Since devices will always be fully charged, it makes sense that the 2018 Expedition will offer a Wi-Fi hotspot. It will be able to support up to 10 devices at any given time up to 50 feet away from the vehicle. Other new features include SYNC 3 and SYNC Connect, an advanced cargo manager and an available Panoramic Vista Roof that spans two rows.
