American car buyers have always loved chrome. More recently, black or darkened rims have become more popular and are not just reserved for higher trim levels. Which 2017 Ford Fusion models have black wheels?
The 2017 Ford Fusion Titanium and Sport models come standard with darkened wheels. But, you’ll be able to add an Appearance Package on the SE trim to add Premium Painted Dark Stainless wheels. In addition to style preference, it’s more difficult for black rims to get dirty and show rust.
Here’s exactly how to get dark rims on the 2017 Ford Fusion:
18” Premium Painted Dark Stainless Wheels Available on SE trim.
18” Machine-Faced Aluminum Wheels with Painted Pockets
19” Premium Painted Tarnished Dark Wheels
2017 Fusion EcoBoost engine options
Three different EcoBoost® engine options are available on the 2017 Fusion. You can choose between a turbocharged, direct injection and twin independent variable cam timing (Ti-VCT) engines. All three engines are designed to bring out the best in the Fusion.
This 1.5L engine is available on the Fusion SE. It’s paired with a standard six-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Though a bit smaller, the 1.5L delivers impressive performance.
Standard on Titanium and Platinum models, the 2.0L is geared for drivers who thirst for more horsepower. Available as an upgrade on the Fusion SE.
This powerful EcoBoost® engine is only available on the Fusion Sport model. It delivers a hefty dose of horsepower and torque with its V6. It’s paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.
We’d encourage you to stop in to see the Ford Fusion to see if you prefer a more traditional set of chrome wheels or darkened wheels.
