If you’ve ever purchased a truck or looked into purchasing a truck, you know that the customization choices are endless. Engine selection, transmission selection, drive system choices, box style, plus whatever interior and exterior colors your heart desires. When it comes to Ford trucks, particularly the Ford F-150, one choice you need to make is whether you want a Regular Cab, SuperCab, or SuperCrew.

What’s the Difference?

ford-f-150-super-cab-vs-super-crew-side_oWhen it comes to the difference between the three cab choices, it’s all about size. The Regular Cab has a maximum seating capacity of 3 passengers while the SuperCab and SuperCrew have cabins that feature a backseat and can fit up to 6 passengers legally. You can immediately spot the difference between the SuperCab and SuperCrew due to their doors. A SuperCab has four doors, however, the rear ones are smaller and open backward, while the SuperCrew has four full-size doors that open all in the same direction.

There is also a size difference in cabin space as well. The Regular Cab comes with 40.8 inches of front head room and 43.9 inches of front leg room, while the SuperCab comes with the same front room plus 40.3 inches of rear headroom and 33.5 inches of rear leg room. The SuperCrew comes with the same interior dimensions as the SuperCab except for the rear leg room, which gets over 10 inches added for even more passenger comfort.
