The first new package upgrades the looks of the 2022 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Premium model, adding a dark and moody feel to the fastback with a unique selection of blacked-out features. The 19" Ebony Black-painted aluminum wheels are joined by black pony badges, black mirror caps, a performance rear wing, and new clear LED taillamp covers which also appear on the Mustang Ice White package.
The interior also receives the darkly sinister treatment, with matt and gloss black instrument panel badges and a lighted sill plate.
However, the Stealth Edition package isn't just about skin-deep beauty. Only available on the EcoBoost Premium model, the enhanced looks are placed over the Mustang's regular powerful engineering, with a 2.3L gas engine delivering fully 310 horsepower and 350lb-ft of torque for searing performance.
The California Special Edition GT Performance Package
The California Special Edition of the Mustang has long added extra stylings to the regular profile, but for the 2022 model year the enhanced looks are now available in combination with the GT Performance package to deliver an upgrade on every area of the Mustang.
A blacked-out honeycomb grille is combined with side racing stripes and a rear fender scoop, alongside black and red trims across the whole vehicle. A front splitter is paired with a performance rear wing on the fastback model, while a spoiler delete is offered on the convertible models. And to complete the stylish package, the California Edition Mustang is available in a range of colours including Atlas Blue, Cyber Orange, Iconic Silver, and Oxford White.
But perhaps the most exciting aspects of this Mustang are provided by the GT Performance package. The standard 5.0L V8 engine delivers a mammoth 460 horsepower and 420lb-ft of torque, passed to rear-wheel drive through either a six-speed manual or ten-speed automatic transmission. And to handle all the extra power, this version of the 2022 Ford Mustang is equipped with upgraded Brembo brakes, a limited-slip differential, electric power steering tuning, and upgraded suspension for an exhilarating drive quality.
