2022 Ford Bronco vs 2022 Jeep Wrangler

If Ford is one of the most popular manufacturers on the road, Jeep’s dominance off-road was undisputed. Well, at least until now. Find out more in this article.

Performance and Driveability

Ford’s model has better towing capacity despite not having as much horsepower. While Ford’s capacity ranges between 2,000lbs and 2,200lbs, the Jeep Wrangler can’t go past 2,000lbs. In terms of horsepower, Ford’s off-road model ranges between 181hp and 250hp, depending on the trim.

The Jeep has a small edge over the new competitor here, 285hp. Also, the 2022 Ford Bronco is more economical than its competitor, making between 21 and 25 miles per gallon, while Jeep Wrangler makes 18 miles. Both cars run on gasoline.

Interior Designs

Interior Designs

Bronco beats Wrangler in cargo capacity and internal space. It has more head and legroom and is also slightly longer and wider. Bronco’s cargo capacity almost doubles its competitors: 60.6 - 65.2 ft3 against 31.7ft3. Besides, Bronco has five seats, one more than the Jeep.

Jeep invests in tradition in terms of design, while Bronco’s interior feels more like a modern SUV. Wrangler has kept its flat dashboard and much of its interior design. However, now it comes with a 3.5-inch in-cluster display and a 5-inch touchscreen. Meanwhile, Bronco brings larger screens for the whole lineup: 8-inch each.

Technology and Safety

Technology and Safety

Both models have plenty of hi-tech safety features across their lineups. Apart from airbags and tire pressure monitoring, Bronco also has a Safety Canopy and Ford’s top-notch CoPilot360 system.

This system has a Pre-Collision Assist, a Hill Descent Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Rear View Camera, and 360-Degree Camera with Off-Road Views.

Jeep Wrangler also comes with loads of features. These include Hill Start Assist, Trailer Sway Control, multistage airbags, and Electronic Roll Mitigation. Additionally, it has Forward Collision Warning, Active Braking, and Forward-Facing TrailCam.

The 2022 Ford Bronco is one trim less than its main competitor: ten against eight. However, some of the Jeep’s trims are quite redundant. Both models bring several exciting features that increase comfort and safety.
