$1.1 Million Bid for JDRF 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 was auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. Craig Jackson, the chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson, was the winning bidder, with a bid of $1.1 million. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and help them in their efforts to find a cure for 1ype 1 diabetes.

The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, which will be produced in limited numbers for dealerships in the U.S. and Canada, comes equipped with a 700-hp supercharged 5.2L V8 engine, which enables the car to achieve the zero to 60 mph sprint in around 3.5 seconds. Additional performance technologies include the TREMEC 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, Active MagneRide Suspension, Electric Power Steering, and Brembo Brakes.
